I was being random and surfing the internet (surprise, surprise) when I stumbled across this site called Day Zero: The Home of the 101 Things to do in 1001 Days Project. Basically, the idea is that you set 101 goals for yourself - they can be serious or kinda silly - and give yourself 1001 days to accomplish them.
I don't know about you, but to me, that idea appears to be made of awesome. It's a chance to really push myself to accomplish something - or rather, 101 somethings.
So I made a list - it's harder than I thought it would be, being both realistic and meaningful - and now I'm posting it here, with the intention of updating this journal with the progress of my 101 tasks. And photos. Photos are always nice. (See "Thing to Do Number 81.")
The rules are as follows:
"Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part)."
Without further ado...
( My list of 101 things to do in the next 1001 days )
I figure you can't go wrong, ending with a llama.
At any rate, I started on a Sunday so that I'm kinda starting at the beginning of a week. Makes things easier to keep track of, particularly items like number 68, where I've got a weekly goal to take care of.
And as for a deadline? According to an online calculator, my time is up on Sunday, November 14, 2010. That seems like a long, long way away... but then, I have an awful lot to do.
It should be fun.
